Farm Credit West
Branch Offices

Yuba City | woodland | tulare

For farmers and agricultural businesses across the West, Farm Credit West provides essential banking services—supporting everything from small operations to large-scale enterprises with lines of credit, business development, and sustainability planning—and to serve these communities where they live and work, we designed a series of ground-up branch offices in Yuba City, Tulare, and Woodland, located in the heart of the region’s agricultural lands. Each branch draws from industrial agricultural structures, reinterpreted through a modern lens, where sculpted forms rise from the landscape with a sense of verticality and forward movement—creating a presence that is both aspirational and approachable—while art and material choices, from textured surfaces to agricultural imagery, connect the design to the land and the people it serves, with landscape elements reinforcing the visual language of grain fields, silos, and working terrain both inside and out. Sustainability and performance were key drivers throughout, with clean rooflines concealing mechanical systems, two-story glazing at the entries meeting Title 24 and CalGreen requirements, and walls, roofs, and overhangs calibrated for insulation, solar exposure, and energy efficiency, while a tactile palette of metals, wood, and stone reflects the rhythm and texture of the fields—resulting in a series of branch offices that feel strong and relatable: professional, sculptural presences on the horizon, yet deeply connected to the everyday life and work of the communities they serve.
