Yountville Mixed Use

Yountville is a mixed-use project that blends ground-floor retail with second-floor residential living, designed to read as a collection of individual homes rather than a single block. Located along Washington Street, it connects the north and south retail zones into a fluid, walkable experience, inviting residents and visitors to explore the town. Working closely with the City, the design responds to Yountville’s quaint character while resolving fire access and rooftop mechanical challenges through careful shaping of parapets, gable forms, and ceiling lines. A restrained palette of warm-cream plaster, matching shingles, wood-clad windows, and antiqued doors establishes a timeless aesthetic, while landscape elements soften the transition to neighboring residences. Serving as a flagship for Hunter Gatherer Napa Valley, the project blends commercial vitality with residential comfort—celebrating the town’s evolution while staying rooted in its character.
