Cascade Kitchens

With a clear vision from Fran and Lauren, Cascade Kitchen transforms a former Kmart garden center in South Lake Tahoe into a vibrant community food hall. The adaptive reuse embraces the character of the existing structure while creating something entirely new—bringing together local vendors, emerging food concepts, and food trucks in a flexible, market-style environment rooted in connection. The design leans into an honest, industrial shell—raw concrete floors, exposed structure, and preserved wood—while an open plan anchored by a central bar creates a natural social hub. Layered lighting, bold branding, and clear circulation support a space that feels active, welcoming, and distinctly Tahoe—coming to life in how people gather, connect, and return.
