Building on the University Village flagship, Buckhorn BBQ + Grill at Palladio in Folsom elevates the brand through thoughtful, experiential design. Positioned at a prominent corner adjacent to the movie theater, the restaurant serves as both a community destination and a convenient stop within the retail and office park. A tower entry honors the park’s metal art while establishing a strong branded focal point, complemented by a covered entry and patio trellis of rough-sawn Douglas Fir that creates a layered outdoor space with market lights and an open connection to the surroundings. Inside, custom elements and interactive moments shape the experience—a faceted bar with an overhead trellis soffit anchors the space, while wood trellises, an open grill, and a counter-height pizza oven invite guests into the process. A hand-charred wood soffit at the entry, barn lighting, and a carefully crafted material palette balance warmth and function, resulting in a dynamic, lively setting where people gather to enjoy California BBQ.
