Tracey’s Place of Hope is part of Koinonia’s broader effort to support at-risk youth across California and holds special meaning for the community it serves. Founded in honor of Tracey Biletnikoff—who overcame her own struggles with substance abuse and dedicated her life to helping others—the program supports young women facing mental health and substance abuse challenges, providing a safe, structured environment that prepares residents to return to their families or move toward independent living. Renovations transformed an existing home into a residence for six adolescent girls, with shared bedrooms, expanded restrooms, a communal kitchen, library, counseling space, and outdoor areas for recreation, therapy, and connection. Interiors are warm and supportive, with a nature-inspired palette of soft greens and subtle patterns, while butterfly motifs symbolize growth and transformation. The layout balances privacy with shared spaces that encourage routine, engagement, and confidence—resulting in a place shaped by community support and donated labor that reflects Tracey’s legacy and offers a foundation for healing, growth, and a hopeful future.
