Cinespace Film Studios reimagines two former manufacturing buildings as a single, integrated campus for film and television production, preserving their industrial character while adapting them for contemporary use. Original concrete and steel structure, polished floors, and exposed systems establish a clear rhythm, while the first floor functions as a flexible production platform for fabrication, assembly, and set construction, supported by dedicated areas for wardrobe, makeup, props, and storage. Offices and executive spaces are layered above, introducing a more refined material palette. The former Catalina Yacht buildings are transformed into a boutique campus with six sound stages, where targeted structural interventions—raised roofs and reinforced foundations—support lighting grids, meet seismic requirements, and demonstrate how existing industrial buildings can evolve into high-performance production environments with clarity and restraint.
